Career Planning
We work with students, graduates and working professionals. Drawing on their interests, abilities and experience, we examine the everyday work and requirements of different roles to help clarify career directions and preparation priorities.
Career Direction and Development Preparation
For students still in education, we consider future career development alongside subject choices, skills development and practical experience.
For graduates and working professionals, we focus on their current job-search and development needs, examining existing preparation against the requirements of intended roles to provide targeted career planning advice.
Recognise abilities through experience
We review your study, internships, work or projects to understand the tasks you actually undertook, the work you can complete independently and how you respond to difficulties.
For example, “handling communication” might involve clarifying requirements, explaining information or coordinating collaboration. Understanding the experience means examining your responsibilities, actions and their results. Specific evidence helps identify existing abilities and areas that need practice.
Understand what a role involves
Role research examines everyday tasks, expected work and the people involved in collaboration, alongside how the knowledge, tools and experience requested by employers relate to actual responsibilities.
We use job descriptions and relevant career information to distinguish explicit conditions from common preferences. Roles with the same title can involve different responsibilities, so we examine the particular work to build a clearer understanding.
Compare directions against your circumstances
Once a role is better understood, we compare its requirements with your experience, considering which tasks your existing abilities support and which requirements need further study or practice.
We compare work content, entry conditions, preparation commitments and development opportunities alongside your interests, preferred ways of working and practical arrangements. For unfamiliar directions, we first identify missing information and gradually assess whether further investment makes sense.
Decide the order of study and practical preparation
Recommendations account for the intended role, current preparation and available time. They explain what to do first, why that order is appropriate and what observable performance could indicate that preparation is effective.
After learning a tool, for example, a relevant task can help establish whether you can use it. When exploring a career, initial study or practical experience can clarify the work before you decide on the next commitment. Priorities evolve as experience grows and goals change.
CV Revision
With the intended role in mind, we help clients organise relevant experience, abilities and achievements and identify the priorities for their CV, so their strengths are presented clearly and accurately.
Interview Coaching
We help clients organise their approach to answering questions in relation to the intended role and their own experience, so they can explain their experience, abilities and strengths more clearly.
